Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting profession after she enrolled at Stanford University. At the beginning of her career, she was in parts in films like Pleasantville or Election. However, it was Elle Woods' portrayal in Legally Blonde which marked a significant turning point. Her role as Elle Woods in Walk the Line earned her an Academy Award nomination in 2005. Her film credits include The Dictator, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and The Dictator.
